Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Local Contract 1. I attest that I am a citizen of the United States of America and that I reside in the city of __________________, county of _______________________, and state of Alabama: that I am presently a registered student in ________________________ High School.  That I have never been married, that I have always been a female and will be between the ages of 13 and 17 by May 10, 2008.  I am of good moral character and have never been pregnant, and I am not now pregnant, and have not been involved at any time in any act of moral turpitude; that I have never been convicted of any crime and do not have any criminal charges pending against me, nor have I ever done any act or engaged in any activity which is or could be characterized as dishonest, immoral, immodest, indecent, or in bad taste; that I am in reasonably good health and can to the best of my knowledge participate fully without limitation in pageant activities. 2.   I agree to participate in the series of events leading up to the selection of Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen and to abide by and be bound by the rules and regulations governing the pageant and the awarding and supervision of the pageant scholarship, and other prizes. 3.   If I am selected as Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2009, I agree to make myself available for public appearances required of me by the pageant officials.  I understand that the director of the Miss Leeds Area Pageant will act as my booking agent for all appearances.  I will refer all requests for public appearances to the director of the pageant.  When appearing as Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2009, I will always dress appropriately for the occasion with hair, make-up and nails groomed.  I also understand that I will not be allowed to have male companions with me during public appearances.  I also agree that I will not show affection to anyone of the opposite sex during appearances or in public. I agree to be punctual at all appearances, arriving at the designated time set by the director. 4.   In preparing for the Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant, I agree to maintain my physical fitness throughout the year.   I agree to work out to maintain my physical appearance; I will maintain a reading program to keep up with current events, and I agree to attend mock interview sessions that are scheduled for me. 5. I agree that the director of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary has approval rights on any and all of my competition clothing to be worn in the Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant.  I also agree that the director of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary has approval rights of my talent selection for the Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant.  I also agree that I will not have others coaching me in any aspect of the pageant without the approval of the director 6. I agree that neither the Director, Staff, or anyone working for or with the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary shall be held liable should any accident occur during any pre-pageant or pageant activities. 7. I agree that the manner and method of conducting the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary shall be in sole discretion of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary, Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant, and the Miss America Outstanding Teen Pageant.  I further agree that the time, method, and manner of judging the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Pageant and the award and supervision of the scholarships shall be within the sole discretion of the Director of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Preliminary, and the decision of the persons designated to judge the various events in any and all matters pertaining to the selection of the winners shall be final.    8. If any of the representations and warranties made by me herein shall prove false, or if I engage in any of the prohibited acts or activities described in paragraph one during my year of service, or if I fail to conduct myself in a manner which, in the opinion of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Pageant Committee and/or the Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant, does not uphold and maintain the dignity and honor of the title “Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2009”, or if I suffer any disability which, in the sole and exclusive judgment of the Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen Pageant Committee, may impair my ability to perform the duties expected of me as Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2009, then I understand and agree that the Miss Leeds Area Preliminary may in its exclusive option terminate my right to participate in the 2009 Miss Alabama Outstanding Teen Pageant, as well as my right to the title of  Miss Leeds Area Outstanding Teen 2009, and all awards, scholarships, and prerequisites pertaining thereto, and my successor will receive all of the benefits to which I would otherwise have been entitled. _________________________________        ________________________ Legal Signature of Contestant                           Date _________________________________         ________________________ Parental Signature                                             Date (if contestant is under the age of 18) _________________________________       ________________________ Notary Public                                                    My commission expires
